Goals of the GRPM are:

• to participate actively in the work of the various Swiss institutions, groups and commissions dealing with defence and security equipment manufacturing;
• to promote the recognition of the industries of Western Switzerland in the awarding of defence and security equipement contracts, by enhancing their image vis-à-vis the relevant public and/or private sector institutions and agencies;
• to thus promote and develop in Western Switzerland the advanced production technology required to guarantee the success and continuation of the traditional activities of these companies;
• to gain recognition as a partner of the Swiss Federal Procurement Agencies (particularly armasuisse) in matters concerning the production of defence and security equipment in Western Switzerland;

  

• to provide the Swiss Federal Procurement Agencies and the companies possessing the necessary basic technological capabilities with partners, through the constitution of appropriate consortia or industrial partnerships;
• to establish itself, by setting up such consortia, as the leading general contracting group of Western Switzerland in the field of defence and security projects;
• to participate in large projects as partners or subcontractors with large Swiss or foreign general contractors.
• to promote in the public a favorable atmosphere for defence and security equipment production and the industries engaged in this type of activity.
